{"id":30071,"date":"2025-08-05T17:05:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T21:05:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vermont.com\/?post_type=calendar&#038;p=30071"},"modified":"2025-08-05T17:16:51","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T21:16:51","slug":"36th-annual-burke-fall-festival","status":"publish","type":"calendar","link":"https:\/\/vermont.com\/calendar\/36th-annual-burke-fall-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"36th Annual Burke Fall Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Parade, wagon rides, pony rides, kids games, farm animals, rubber duck races, huge craft fair with 75+ vendors, live music, Wildlife Encounters show, silent auction, raffles, cow plop bingo, BBQ and more!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Burke, VT in the Fall\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/J80JjivM5N8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our biggest festival of the year is our annual Fall Foliage Festival located in East Burke Village&nbsp;on the&nbsp;green at the Burke Mountain Clubhouse\/East Burke Library.&nbsp; The Burke Fall Festival is organized and hosted by the Burke Area Chamber of Commerce with assistance from many volunteers, local businesses and other organizations.&nbsp; The event is a fundraiser for the Chamber with proceeds used to help us promote the Burke Area, provide services to our members and support economic growth in our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The days' events include:<\/strong><br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Parade starts at 10am<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BBQ\u00a0with burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, sausages and more!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kids Area with games and face painting (proceeds benefit Burke Town School)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FREE ice cream for kids (1pm) donated by Clementine's Creamery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pony Rides<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Horse Drawn Wagon Rides<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Farm Animal Petting Zoo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cow Plop Bingo (cash prizes) - Purchase squares prior to 9\/27 at East Burke Market or Mike's Gas in West Burke.\u00a0 Purchase squares on festival day at the Burke Chamber\/Festival Info Booth.\u00a0 $5 per square. Winner gets half the pot!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Craft Fair featuring 75+ vendors!\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Raffle of Crafts from festival vendors - at the Burke Chamber\/Festival Info Booth\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fall Fest posters, beer mugs, shirts, sweatshirts and more for sale at the Burke Chamber\/Festival Info Booth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Burke Mountain Club -\u00a09am-2pm- BMC Fundraiser Silent Auction!\u00a0<br>Rug Hooking Displays &amp; Live Demonstrations<br>Book Sale &amp; Membership Sign Up Table (outside)<br>Noon-1pm - Children's Library Room Open House w\/Story &amp; Craft from Noon to 1pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10am \u2013 3pm - East Burke Community Library will be open\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>White Schoolhouse -<em>\u00a0\u201cA Glimpse of the Past - A Day in School\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gazebo Announcements - after parade (about 10:30am) -\u00a0 Presentation of the Burke Citizen of the Year award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11am -\u00a0Junior Zookeeper Encounter with Wildlife Encounters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>noon - 2:30pm - Music from Chickweed at the Gazebo\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1pm - Rubber Ducky Races at the Dishmill Brook - cash prizes! (proceeds benefit Lyndon Rescue)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>East Burke Congregational Church (583 Route 114)\u00a0- TBD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>East Burke School (611 Route 114) -\u00a0 \u00a0TBD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thaddeus Stevens School (638 Route 114) - TBD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Festival parking - Please be aware that traffic and parking in the village will be very busy on festival day. Plan accordingly! Carpool if possible.
